Becomes the first OEM to deploy Advanced Driver Assistance Systems on PRIMA and SIGNA Range Tata Motors PRIMA and SIGNA trucks fitted with WABCO's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems – OnGuardASSIST™ and OnLaneALERT™ for a demonstration at WABCO India's test track, Chennai The commercial vehicle Business Unit of Tata Motors is forging ahead with the development of safety-enhancing advanced driver assistance system solutions for deployment on its medium and heavy duty commercial vehicles. This ambitious goal is aimed at reducing the number of road accidents, increasing vehicular as well as occupant safety, in a broad range of visibility conditions. Offering enhanced operational efficiency the systems will also help reduce operating costs for fleets. After becoming the first OEM to deploy Electronic Stability Control (ESC) for medium and heavy duty commercial vehicles last year, Tata Motors is today announcing the availability of a range of new safety technologies. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) being offered by Tata Motors include a Collision Mitigation System (CMS) and a Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) for PRIMA and SIGNA trucks.

Dhaka, January 22, 2019: Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, along with its authorized distributor Nitol Motors Ltd., today launched the all-new Tata LPT 1212 light commercial vehicle in Bangladesh. The vehicle has been designed for the modern commercial vehicle customer of Bangladesh, with superior performance and high load carrying capacity. Tata LPT 1212 The Tata LPT 1212 is a perfect cargo transporting solution for the Bangladeshi customer in the light trucks category. The reliable 497 TCIC Common Rail Engine with proven engine life and reparability, optimally powers the truck. The Tata LPT 1212 is designed to deliver improved performance and better fuel efficiency with lower emissions, levels of noise and vibrations. The high performance engine is configured to deliver optimum power output at even lower RPMs enabling one to drive with lesser gearshifts while giving better fuel efficiency. The bigger clutch diameter of 330 mm allows easy engagement of gears leading to driving comfort and efficient power transmission. The high ground clearance of 245 mm makes it a perfect solution for transporting cargo over rough terrains. The loading capability of the truck is enhanced with the bigger tyre size (9X20 – 16 PR)

1st March, 2019: Tata Motors, country’s largest Commercial Vehicle manufacturer showcased a range of its new commercial vehicles today during the Indo – Bangla Automotive Show 2019, held at the International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka. The Indo-Bangla Automotive Show 2019 opened on 1st March, 2019 and will exhibit products manufactured by members of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and members of Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA). This year at the Auto Show, Tata Motors has displayed products across light, medium and heavy commercial vehicle segments along with an SUV in the passenger vehicle segment and Tata Genuine Parts.

The Tata Motors Group global wholesales in March 2018, including Jaguar Land Rover, were at 153,156 nos., higher by 18%, over March 2017. Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in March 2018 were at 56,399 nos., higher by 33%, over March 2017. Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in March 2018 were at 96,757 nos., higher by 11%, compared to March 2017. Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 76,221 vehicles (*JLR number for March 2018 includes CJLR volumes of 7,126 units). Jaguar wholesales for the month were 21,048 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 55,173 vehicles.
